This blog has not retired, ended or died! I will continue to post the wealth of information as always, the only reason updates have been rare is because I have been in the United States to do some work for the last few weeks. I will remain here for another month until January 16th. I will then return to El Salvador to live for 9 more years, so the information will continue to come.
I hope you all continue to use this as a source of information and reference, you can always contact me with questions and suggestions!
Updates will continue to post again starting the middle to end of January!

are you on the West or East coast? I am interested in relocating to ES but am concerned about finding employment as I am old by ES standards (40) what are your thoughts/suggestions about the job market for us older folks?
OUSD,
I am located on the East Coast in Virgina at the moment, until around January 15.
What industry do you have experience in? 40 is not old, but by ES standards may be a little harder to find work, honestly, I would say the best bets are in a call center, if you enjoy that type of work.
I do some internet work and I survive off that in El Salvador, actually do very well. If your interested maybe you'd like to hear some suggestions on that, also, you could open your own business.
Mechanics do very well, you could sell imported products in the market, they do very well. Also, opening a cyber cafe would earn you a modest income. But business owners need to be careful in ES, it's a little dangerous due to thieves. It's not too bad though.
I would recommend a call center or internet work honestly (if you don't want to start your own business).
Very Interesting Blog
